NEW WATER

Ok so we had a meeting today with the nbbc officer, about a number of sites around bedworth & nuneaton..
After going through details there are 2 waters that we feel would be of interest to CCC.
These waters we feel are not the exclusive syndicate water we want, but are a good starting point that with the right care and work can offer anglers some good sport and choices.
we are still in talks with other organizations over other waters and things are looking bright.

Bermuda lake

Bermuda lake is based just behind the Bermuda park Industrial estate, it stands around 7 acres has an island and lined with reeds.

The Lake is and old man-made balancing lake (flood basin) used to hold high water, it is feed by a spring from Arbury estate. which makes the water quality very good.
It is a Pleasant nature area with seats - suitable for walking and recreation running,
Over the last few year lots of care and work has gone into making the park a tranquil nature area..

In the past it was left to it own devices which let the lake down.. but a group for the local village the BVRA have taken up the upkeep and together with the support for nbbc have turned the park around.

Info about Fishing on the lake is a bit sketchy as there has never been a set body in place..
local info has it that there are good roach.. pike..and locals that walk the lake have seen carp in the summer. the carp are said to run to 28lb with a good few 20s.
The banks are Fairly level and ideal for the modern carp angler..
As the lake has never been fished properly before, we feel that there would be a need for a little bit of work to make the swims more comfortable.. there is good access to the lake and safe parking..

we feel that the ideal plan to start the lake, is to run a days only permit at the moment.
this will give us time to sort the swims and evaluate the stock ..we plan to introduce more stock and to make the lake a good runs water that will offer good sport.
